Program Structure and Duration

The UBC IMBA Program structure combines short residential periods with weekend classes. By working throughout your studies, you will be able to immediately apply newly acquired knowledge and skills in your workplace.

Class Schedule

Classes are delivered at the SJTU campus every three to four weekends, as follows:

Friday 3:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Each module is delivered over one weekend, with the module’s exam usually scheduled on the first day of the next module. Business Strategy Integration, a hands-on experience in which you explore case studies and prepare a detailed business plan, is woven throughout the early months of the program to help you apply your learning through more practical coursework.

Graduation

Students complete the program by December of their second year. Graduates will receive an International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) degree from UBC. Graduates may attend a completion ceremony in Shanghai organized by UBC and SJTU and a convocation ceremony at UBC in Vancouver in May.
