Program Format

You will complete four modules offered on weekends over a one-year period, taught by internationally recognized UBC faculty and health care executives. An optional Vancouver site visit will give you the opportunity to shadow a Canadian healthcare executive team and engage in relevant case study analysis.

Our innovative curriculum will provide leading-edge knowledge and best practice tools needed to transform health care systems and services into high performing organizations with exceptional patient care.

Leading UBC faculty and Canadian healthcare experts will cover six broad topic areas that are essential for advancing your health administration knowledge and competencies. The topic areas will be covered over the course of four modules delivered over a 12 month period, with each module comprising four days.

The learning environment will involve experiential and interactive activities (small group discussions, case studies, simulations) that enable individuals to learn from each other as well as from the instructors. Key models, frameworks and tools will be provided to enhance the application of new health administration skills in your organization after the program.

Program instruction will be primarily in English, with Mandarin translation provided. All classroom materials will be provided in English with Mandarin translation.
