My professional background is in providing career consulting services to the technology, public accounting and professional services industries. As Manager of the Business Co-op Program I meet all potential Co-op students selected for an interview. Once a student is accepted into the program, I coach and support them through individual meetings and workshops and often make workplace visits. I also work closely with Co-op employers to identify rewarding employment experiences.

As a Co-op Manager, I look forward to helping you navigate through all of the challenges and aspects of your journey through the Co-op Program via career coaching sessions, facilitating workshops, and checking-in with you during your work terms! My passion for coaching undergraduate business students with their professional development and career management is evidenced in over 5 years of career advising and coaching, most recently at SFU’s Beedie School of Business and prior to that at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management. I completed my BA in Honours Economics at The University of Western Ontario and prior to working in higher education, I spent two years as an Analyst with Merrill Lynch in Toronto and was fortunate to train in New York City at Merrill’s global headquarters. I look forward to coaching students with an interest in Finance and also those who are considering consulting.

Having completed the UBC Arts Co-op Program, I’m a big supporter and believer of co-operative education. My work terms helped me discover my passion for career coaching and student development. As a Co-op Manager, I support you through individual coaching sessions, workshops and workplace visits. The most rewarding part of my job is reflecting with you and watching you grow both personally and professionally through each work term. I also work closely with our employers to identify rewarding employment opportunities. Prior to joining the Business Career Centre, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. Since graduating in 2011, I have been working at UBC in the areas of on campus recruitment, orientations and career/cooperative education. I also completed my Masters in Higher Education.

I support the Co-op team with the day-to-day activities such as communicating with students, sharing Co-op opportunities, and coordinating hiring and site visits with employers. I am a BA graduate from the Faculty of Arts at UBC majoring in International Relations, and minoring in Commerce. I’m excited for the opportunity to be a part of the UBC community once again, and to support the amazing career building opportunities the Co-op Program has to offer. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I look forward to working with you!
