The UBC Sauder Philanthropy Program is pleased to host a talk on “From Wall Street to Philanthropy” by philanthropic leader Jae Kim on March 4, 2019.
Jae Kim is the Chief Philanthropy Officer of The Giustra Foundation. Kim excels at finding common ground between business, government and non-government organizations at the highest levels, on humanitarian and social welfare issues. Educated at Brown and Oxford in economics and the law, Kim has worked successfully as a litigator in a white shoe law firm in NYC but found that her passion lies in helping those in the margins of society. She has dedicated her professional career to these causes. An out of the box problem solver, Kim has managed the start-up phase of several groundbreaking initiatives, among them as Founding President of the Streetohome Foundation in Vancouver. In her role as Chief Philanthropy Officer of The Giustra Foundation, Kim has focused in developing and implementing innovative and impactful initiatives affecting refugees in Canada and internationally.
