The school’s open enrolment and custom programs were both recognized among top 25 in North America

In its first submission, UBC Sauder’s Executive Education custom program – which involves tailor-made courses for corporate customers – was included in the Financial Times annual survey, ranking 24th in North America.

For the seventh consecutive year, the school’s Executive Education Open Enrolment program has been ranked among the world’s best professional development programs for managers and senior leaders, placing 18th in North America by the highly-reputable publication’s annual survey.

“The Financial Times Executive Education survey is largely determined by qualitative client and customer feedback,” says Bruce Wiesner, associate dean of UBC Sauder Executive Education. “UBC Sauder is extremely proud to once again be included in this year’s ranking, since it signifies our clients’ belief that we are delivering on our commitment to provide exceptional learning opportunities.”

Wiesner adds that the inclusion in this year’s custom ranking is indicative of a growing trend of organizations looking for more adaptability in educational courses. “We’re finding that clients increasingly want education tailored to their specific needs and challenges. UBC Sauder is elevating its focus on providing highly-customized solutions for organizations while continuing its leadership in Open Enrolment programs.”

The 2018 Financial Times Executive Education Rankings identifies the top 85 customized and 75 open-enrolment programs worldwide. The rankings are based primarily on measures of participants’ and clients’ satisfaction, as well as the schools’ growth in revenue, international reach and faculty diversity.

According to Robert Helsley, dean of the UBC Sauder School of Business, the school’s renowned research faculty and focus on educating responsible leaders contribute to Executive Education’s consistently high global reputation.

“We have research-driven faculty who are looking ahead and providing new ideas and perspectives to students,” he says. “Participants learn from and work with some of the top business experts whose goal is to produce leaders with the vision and courage to witness and identify problems, and the drive to find and implement innovative solutions.”

UBC Sauder Executive Education offers a comprehensive range of open enrolment programs, from shorter courses for the broader business community to immersive weeklong in-resident programs for senior leaders. Delivering over 115 programs to more than 2,500 executives every year, UBC Sauder Executive Education training is designed to have an immediate, positive impact on performance and minimize time away from the office.
