Ways to donate

SSE teams receive financial support from the UBC Sauder School of Business.

 HELP FUND ESSENTIAL DAY-TO-DAY NEEDS

  • $25 sponsors resource booklets and classroom supplies for one participant. These materials, developed by the SSE team under the supervision of a UBC Sauder faculty member, are highly valued by participants for their ease of use, local relevance and practical guidance.
  • $50 sponsors transportation for students to a classroom for one week. By providing transportation for the students, travel time is minimized. This makes classes more accessible to students who are running their own businesses.
  • $150 sponsors one week of nutrition breaks for a full class at an SSE location.

HELP YOUNG PEOPLE REALIZE THEIR POTENTIAL

  • $500 provides start-up funds for one young entrepreneur to launch a small business. Each year, a scholarship is given to one participant of the program with the most promising business plan.
  • $750 provides stipends for students from Strathmore University (Nairobi) to teach with us and help mentor the participants. Their knowledge of Kenyan culture and Swahili is extremely helpful in aiding the UBC students deliver the course.
