SSE China

SSE China is a student-led, four-week course delivered in China each summer. It covers the different aspects of business and entrepreneurship through ten workshops. Teaching methods include lessons, presentations, activities, exercises, and guest speaker sessions.

The course is free to Chinese small business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs. The Chinese government is encouraging entrepreneurship as a way to alleviate poverty, and social entrepreneurship is a growing trend in the country. The program helps them improve and fine-tune their business ideas. Student volunteers mentor, teach, work in a team setting, and take part in Chinese university campus tours and other activities.

The program is a great opportunity for students to learn about other cultures, how businesses are created and grow in different contexts, and the role of education, mentorship, and volunteerism on economic development.

It's more remote than Zhengzhou, with more of an agricultural and small business focus.
